La Zarra: ‘Evidemment is about being strong enough to take your path in your own hands’

Fatima Zahra Hafdi (aka La Zarra) was inernally selected by France Télévisions back in January to represent France in Eurovision 2023. The young artist, who started her career in 2016, rose to fame in 2021 thanks to her song “Tu T’en Iras” (Eng: You’ll leave) which granted her high rankings in French charts and even an award as “French-speaking newcomer artist of the year”. In the following months, her debut album “Traîtrise” (Eng: Treason) was premiered. Together with her team (Benny Adams and Bang&Ranx), La Zarra composed her Eurovision entry “Evidemment” (Eng: Obviously), and submitted it to the French delegation who immediately said a big OUI. This very French uptempo chanson, halfway between Edith Piaf and disco music has been seen as very promising entry all over Europe since then.

We had the opportunity just a few days ago to chat with the La Zarra about her upcoming performance in Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool. Check out our entire chat with her right here:
