Azeri broadcaster İctimai Television (İTV) has announced that of the 214 song submissions received for Eurovision 2024, they have cut 198 of them to leave just 16 songs in the running to represent Azerbaijan in Malmö!
Of the 214 songs, 88 came from Azeri artists while the other 126 were submitted internationally. No update was given about the origins of the final 16 songs in contention.
The final 16 songs will now enter the next phase of their journey towards Malmö — Live Auditions! İTV will provide updates on the next phase in due course.
Twins TuralTuranX competed for Azerbaijan at Eurovision in Liverpool. Their song Tell Me More failed to qualify for the Grand Final, finishing in 14th place with only 4 points in Semi Final 1, making it Azerbaijan’s worst result in its 17-year Eurovision history.
