Misija Malmö cancelled — Slovenia’s internal selection to be revealed 12th December

Slovenia’s plans to revive a national final are no more! It would seem that one of the artists who was set to take part in Slovenia’s planned selection show, Misija Malmö, has been chosen and the time and expense of hosting a show are no longer necessary.

In lieu of Misija Malmö, Slovenia will unveil its representative for the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest at a press conference on Tuesday, 12th December at noon CET at the SNG Opera and Ballet in Ljubljana.

Broadcaster RTVSLO is staying tight-lipped about who the artist is at this stage (although the location of the Opera Hall for the press conference might indicate a clue), but we do know that the song will bring the Slovenian language back to Eurovision for the third time in a row!

In addition to the press conference, the artist and song will be presented in a special TV show in late January.

Who do you think RTVSLO has chosen as its representative for Malmö? Let us know in the comments or on our socials @escbubble!

At Eurovision in Liverpool, Joker Out got Slovenia its best result since 2019, when Carpe Diem finished in 21st place in the Grand Final with 78 points.

Given where the press conference will take place, I’d be very surprised if it isn’t mezzo-soprano RAIVEN announced as Slovenia’s artist…
