JyellowL is the third Finalist of Ireland’s ‘Eurosong’

As we all know, Ireland’s RTÉ is once again hosting a national selection in order to find their entry for Eurovision. A total of six finalists have been selected to compete in this year’s “Eurosong” special of “The Late Late Show” on the 26th of January. Erica Cody with “Love Me Like I Do” and Ailsha with “Go Tobann” have been announced as the first two finalists in the past two days, and today we get a total of two more entries. The first of these two has just been announced, and that is JyellowL with “Judas”.

JyellowL is not a new name on the Irish music scene – he was named as a 2fm Rising artist in 2019, whilst his debut album “D|vision” was nominated for Irish Album of the Year at the RTÉ Choice Music Prize in 2020, and debuted at number two on the official iTunes album charts.

When talking about his Eurosong entry “Judas”, JyellowL stated:

“Judas” is about staying focused and faithful to your vision irrespective of the challenges you face in life, whether it be betrayal, setbacks, set ups – these challenges are personified as ‘Judas’. And it’s about recognising that you have the power to rise above this and achieve whatever goals you have set out for yourself.

JyellowL’s song features the vocals of Toshín. The song was premierly played on The Ray D’Arcy Show on RTÉ Radio 1, and you can give it a listen right here:

One more act is going to be announced today, whilst the final two will be announced tomorrow and on Friday. Stay tuned to ESCBubble.
