So it’s fair to say – as always – we’ll be watching quite the international San Marinese final!

During the casting process, candidates will have the opportunity to participate in masterclasses led by professionals in the music sector, such as Domenico ‘Mimmo’ Paganelli, artistic director of EMI records, and Italian singer-songwriter and vocal coach Ruggero Ricci.

Following this, the Grand Final will see the chosen entrants – eight ’emerging’ and eight ‘big’ artists – competing against each other for the ticket to Malmö, with the winner being decided by a jury vote.

In Liverpool last year, San Marino failed to qualify for the Grand Final when Piqued Jacks’ ‘Like An Animal’ joined the 0 points club, and landed in joint last place.
