Bibiane Z withdraws from Ich will Zum ESC!

In December, German broadcaster, has revealed a new selection method for Eurovision 2024. Eurovision Song Contest – Das deutsche Finale 2024 is the name of the show which includes eight direct finalists and one act which will be selected by the viewers. Tonight, we will find out the last act in the final of German selection for Eurovision.

The six episode program with the title “Ich Will Zum ESC” is a six episode show which includes 15 acts competing for the last place in the final of Eurovision Song Contest – Das deutsche Finale 2024. The first three episodes with the auditions as well as with vocal coaching by Conchita Wurst and Rea Garvey have been release on 25th of January through ARD Media Library. A week ago the penultimate episode was released and it featured the top four artists and their work on Eurovision entries with which they will be competing to win the last place in the final of German Selection. One of the finalists, Bibiane Z, had to withdraw from the selection due to illness. The final, 6th episode of the show will be broadcast tonight and it will feature the three acts.

Bibiane posted on her IG story that she is in the hospital waiting for to be operated. NDR has released a statement confirming that Bibiane Z won’t take part in the final of “Ich Will Zum ESC”.

The candidates worked intensively on the songs and performances in their teams. It’s a shame that Bibiane can’t be there and therefore can’t be elected. We all wish her a speedy recovery from the bottom of our hearts!

The final three acts are as follows:

Bibiane was set to perform “Walk You Home Safe” as part of Rea Garvey’s team. The second artists is a 28 year old guy from Künzelsau, Florian. Team Conchita features 27 years old, Anne Im from Hamburg and 23 years old Luca M. Wefes from Berlin.

The winner of the show tonight will join the eight direct finalists in a show set to take place on 16th of February:
