Mishela Rapo is the first artist selected for Junior Eurovision 2015!

Tonight, the Final of the Albanian National Selection for Junior Eurovision, entitied ‘Festivali i 51-te i Këngës për Fëmtijë’ took place in Tirana. After last night’s semi final in which 22 songs competed, 8 were eliminated and 14 acts remained in the running to represent Albania in this year’s Junior Eurovision, which will take place on 21 November 2015.

The winning song, was ‘Dambaje’ by Mishela Rapo, and has African influences. The song was chosen by a jury which included Olta Boka (ESC 2008) and Juliana Pasha (ESC 2010). Kejsi Tola, who sang her Eurovision 2009 entry, ‘Carry Me In Your Dreams’ was one of the many interval acts throughout the show.

Mishela becomes the second Albanian entrant in Junior Eurovision, after Igzidora Gjeta came 12th (and last) in 2012.
