Loïc Nottet joins the cast of the French edition of “Dancing With The Stars” – Season 6

Preparations for the sixth edition of the French version of “Dancing With The Stars” (fr. Danse avec les stars) are well underway. The French national broadcaster TF1 has announced many changes and improvements to the 2015 edition of the dance competition. One of these is the addition of Loïc Nottet to the cast, which the Canadian singer and impressionist Véronic DiCaire revealed in an interview with the French television magazine Télé Star.

The 19 year-old singer from Belgium, who represented his home country in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna is still not well known in France.

Loïc’s Eurovision entry “Rhythm Inside”, inspired by Lorde’s song “Royals”, tallied a total of 217 points in the Grand Final of the Song Contest, reaching an astonishing fourth-place finish. His performance demonstrated excellence and uniqueness, which didn’t go unnoticed by the Contest’s audience on the night of the 23rd of May.

Previously to Eurovision, Loïc mesmorised his fellow countrymen who fell under the spell of his voice when he finished second in the third season of “The Voice Belgique” in 2014.

Besides Loïc, the show will also see several other names already confirmed by the production team, amongst which the footballer Djibril Cissé as well as the light pop tenor singer Vincent Niclo.

Will Loïc be able to seduce the French television audience as he did the Belgians in 2014 is going to stay open until the show kicks off in October.
