Record labels will help TVP to select new Eurovision entry?

According to local sources Polish Television TVP decided to send requests for the biggest record labels to select singers who could potentially represent this country in the Eurovision 2016. It’s not a secret that Sony Music Poland recommends Michal Szpak who is ready to go to Stockholm with two songs – “Such is life” or “Color of your life“. The second song seems to have bigger support from Polish fans.

So far no more details about the other labels, especially Universal Music – the leader in Polish music industry. There is no confirmation that this label is participating in the project but if they are in, they could select some of the new and fresh acts such as Sarsa, Monika Lewczuk or Natalia Nykiel, but also Edyta Gorniak, first Polish Eurovision entrant back in 1994. She represented Poland with “To nie ja” and reached second place, still the highest result in Polish history. Edyta Gorniak received 38% votes in JastrzabPost’s Eurovision 2016 poll. Michal Szpak is second with 19%, Margaret third with 8%.

The Polish Eurovision 2016 entry will be presented in February, both artist and song will be selected internally.
