O’G3NE for The Netherlands!

Almost 10 years after representing The Netherlands at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam in 2007, the sisters Lisa, Amy and Shelley are ready to take on another Eurovision adventure! They have been chosen by Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS to represent The Netherlands in next year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Kiev!

Het Junior Songfestival 2007 is where the girls had their break, winning the selection and by doing so earning the right to represent The Netherlands in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest on home soil. After that there have been years of relative silence around them until they showed up again at the auditions for the fifth season of the Dutch version of The Voice. The sisters were praised for their vocal harmonies and the audience agreed, making them the winners during the final.

The girls have stated having heard they were chosen last Tuesday and immediately started contacting various songwriters. They are looking for a song that tells a story and promise the song will contain their famed vocal harmonies. They were also very clear on their objective for next May as earlier this week, before this news came out, they told 100% NL Magazine: “If we go, we go our way. And we certainly have an idea of how we could win….It’s all about the big picture. Everything has to be right. You are not going there to promote an album or get an international career. Only a win would count for us.”
