Muireann McDonnell to represent Ireland in Junior Eurovision 2017!

Even though the Final of the Irish national selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2017 hasn’t been aired yet, Spotify released the full album with this year’s entries, and thus revealed the winner of the Irish selection – Muireann McDonnell!

The Irish national selection is pre-recorded in full every year, but aired later in order to broadcast the Contest itself right after the national selection. The Final is set to be broadcasted this coming Sunday, with the Junior Eurovision being held the following week. However, Spotify has released the full album of Junior Eurovision 2017 with all of the participating songs, so we can conclude that the winner of the Irish selection is Muireann McDonnell with the song “Súile Glasa” (who was the winner of the first semi final of the Irish selection).
