National final for Russia for Junior Eurovision 2015

Yesterday, executive supervisor for Junior Eurovision Vladislav Yakovlev revealed Russia as the 14th participating country in this year’s contest and today, just minutes ago, eurovision.tv revealed that Russian channel RTR will be holding a national final to decide who will be  representing the country in Junior Eurovision Song Contest this year. Last year they selected Alisa Kozhikina internally, after she had won Golos Deti, the Russian version of The Voice: Kids earlier that year.

Starting from the 1st of August, RTR will be airing TV ads to draw attention to the national selection and from that moment on, children between 10 and 15 meeting the official rules of (Junior) Eurovision will be able to register themselves on Karusel’s website,  a sister-channel of RTR focussing on children.

The submission period will be closed on the 10th of September and the national final is expected to take place at the end of September. Junior Eurovision itself will take place on the 21st of November, in Bulgaria’s capital city Sofia in the Armeec Arena.
