This Monday, the organising broadcasters (NPO, NOS and AVROTROS) asked Rotterdam and Maastricht, the two cities left in the race to host next year’s Eurovision, to make some additions to their respective bid books and answer further questions the Eurovision 2020 committee had.
The deadline for that passed today at 17:00 CET and now, with all the information available, it’s time for the Eurovision 2020 team to make their choice!
But with that closed deadline, we also get a revelation date!
In exactly three weeks, on Friday the 30th of August, we will know the exact location of the Eurovision Song Contest 2020!
As said, Maastricht and Rotterdam are the cities still in contention, with the MECC (Maastricht Exhibition & Conference Centre) and Rotterdam Ahoy respectively and it would be a first hosting the Eurovision Song Contest for either of them.
Relive the Eurovision 2020 team’s first visits to Maastricht and Rotterdam:
Nothing is known yet on how the NPO plan to reveal the host city but they promise they will be doing it in a grand way!
Which name would you like to hear in three weeks time?
