MGP: Artists & songs of second semifinal revealed!
Norwegian national broadcaster NRK celebrates 60 years of Melodi Grand Prix in honour of that they reinstated the semifinals first time since 2012 last week’s semifinal was the first one and dedicated to South Norway and Raylee with the song “Wild” qualified to the finals this week another four acts will compete in and after two duels and one golden duel (consisting of the winner from the previous two rounds) will reveal us another finalist this time the region will be East Norway. There are five entries which are pre-qualified for the Grand final (each entry is going to be performed during one semifinal evening).
The four acts competing in this week’s Semi Final 2 – East Norway are as follows:
- JÆGER – How About Mars
- Kim Wigaard & Maria Mohn – Fool for Love
- Rein Alexander – One Last Time
- Tore Petterson – The Start of Something New

Tore Petterson is known for staring TV shows such as “Sofa” and as a judge of the contest “Strictly Come Dancing” and he had a band Tore Petterson Trio; he wrote and produced the entry “The Start of Something New” together with Knut Bjørnar Asphol the producer of “That’s How You Write a Song” by Alexander Rybak
