EBU releases an update on Eurovision 2020!

The running question in the past couple of days among all Eurovision fans is whether and how the 2020 edition is going to take place – as planned, with no audience, from local studios, postponed, or completely cancelled. A Reference Group meeting took place today, and the EBU has just released an update.

The update is as follows:

We know you are anxiously awaiting news about the future of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

With a constantly changing situation regarding coronavirus and a large number of people to consult, every important element needs to be taken into consideration.

Please bear with us. We hope to have more information shortly.

Two preview parties have been cancelled – Israel Calling, and Spain’s ES-Pre Party, whilst the Amsterdam Eurovision in Concert and the London Eurovision Party are so far postponed, but could also be cancelled.
