RTÉ revealed the first two hopefuls for Eurovision 2022!

Irish broadcaster RTÉ, has revealed the the first two entries which are competing for a chance to represent the island at Eurosong 2022. In the upcoming days they will be releasing an entry per day until the 21st of January. RTÉ Radio 1 revealed the songs on The Ryan Tubridy Show

The first two entries for Eurosong 2022 were played on the Ryan Tubridy Show on RTÉ Radio 1. The remaining four entries will be revealed once per day every day up until January 21.

The first two entries are:

  • Rachel Goode – “I’m Loving Me”
    Music:Thomas Karlsson, Johan Mauritzsonand Joakim Övrenius
    Lyrics: Anna Engh, and produced byJoakim Övrenius

The second act is from a returnee to the show, Brendan Murray who already represented Ireland at Eurovision 2017 with “Dying to Try” 

  • Brendan Murray – “Real Love”

 

Irish broadcaster received a total of 320 entries for the Eurovision 2022. They narrowed down to six songs which will be competing in a special version of The Late Late Show which is set to take place on 4th of February. The way the winner will be decided is by public voting and an international jury vote. Last year Ireland was represented with “Maps” by Lesley Roy which ended on last place in the first semi-final scoring just 20 points.
