Farah Abadi was the co-host to Oscar Zia at Melodifestivalen 2022 and is now taking over the job as the main program leader. She has a lot of experience as a presenter, as she has been a radio host for more than 10 years and also presents the Swedish quiz show 1 mot Sverige and was even nominated as female presenter of the year, at Sweden’s Kristallgalan in 2022.

It feels so incredibly fun to be part of Melodifestivalen again. And to think that I will have funny, sharp and wonderful Jesper Rönndahl by my side – what an honor

Jesper Rönndahl is a long time experienced television personality, who has done several big jobs at Swedish television before, but is best known as a comedian. SVT has awarded him the role of the comedical co-host to Farah at next year’s Melodifestivalen, and just like her, has shown a lot of excitement for the upcoming project.

This is the biggest TV show I’ve done and of course it’s thrilling. I haven’t exactly distinguished myself as a music guy, so my role is probably more to keep track of everything – and to be funny. In any case, it feels incredibly safe and happy and fun to be allowed to have Farah by my side

The duo will host all six live shows of Melodifestivalen, which after two years, will finally be on tour again. These will be all the dates and locations for next year’s competition:

Deltävling 1: Gothenburg, 4 February 2023

Deltävling 2: Linköping, 11 February 2023

Deltävling 3: Lidköping, 18 February 2023

Deltävling 4: Malmö, 25 February 2023

Semi-Final: Örnsköldsvik, 4 March 2023

Grand Final: Stockholm, 11 March 2023

Melodifestivalen 2022 was won by Cornelia Jakobs with “Hold Me Closer”, who ended up in fourth place at the Eurovision Song Contest!
