These 7 artists will compete to represent Belgium in Liverpool

In August 2022, Belgium revealed that their Flemish broadcaster VRT would return to a national selection to find their representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool. The competition will be hosted by Peter Van De Veire and is set to take place in different stages. VRT now revealed the seven artists competing in Eurosong 2023:

  1. The Starlings
  2. Gustaph
  3. Hunter Falls
  4. Ameerah
  5. Chérine
  6. Gala Dragot
  7. Loredana

Some of these artists are already very familiar to the Eurovision Song Contest. The Starlings are a duo consisting of the couple Kato Callebaut and Tom Dice, who represented Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song “Me And My Guitar” and finished in 6th place.

Ameerah is a returning artist at Eurosong. In 2004, she was competing under the name Astrid with the song “Don’t Stop The Music” and reached the final round. Loredana is another returnee to the Belgian national final, as she took part in Eurosong 2014 alongside Fabiola with the song “She’s After My Piano“.

These 7 acts will compete with two different songs each. A televoting is supposed to decide one song for each act for the final round, which is most likely going to take place in mid-February. The show will be held in the concert arena Paleis 12 in Brussels, one of the biggest venues in Belgium which has hosted big events like the Music Industry Awards or the MIAs.
