Cesar Sampson joins Czech delegation for ESCZ 2024 – and more details announced

Exciting news for Eurofans everywhere: Czechia’s core delegation team is welcoming Cesar Sampson – Austria’s 2018 entrant – as music supervisor for ESCZ 2024!

The Czech National broadcaster has just informed ESCBubble that the ‘Nobody But You’ singer will have a significant influence on the selection process, joining the Czech committee in listening to each entry and curating the final lineup.

They also revealed that more than 200 songs were submitted for this year’s edition of the contest, of which only 5 entries will progress to the live final on December 4th. The names of artists are expected to be released soon, but the songs will be revealed during the live broadcast – where a winner will be selected by televote.

And for those looking to tune in, some important details were confirmed:

  • The show will take place at the iconic Roxy Music Hall in the heart of Prague, a venue renowned for hosting unforgettable concerts and vibrant music nights
  • Just like last year’s edition, the show will be hosted in English by Czech singer Adam Mišík
  • And, perhaps the most important point to note, audiences can tune in from 20:15 CET on ČT Art in Czechia, or on the official Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel anywhere else in the world.

Stay tuned for more exclusive announcements about ESCZ 2024!
