LIVE: EMA 2017 – Slovenia selects for Kiev!

The Grand Final of Slovenia’s Evrovizijska Melodija 2017 (also known as EMA) takes place tonight at the RTV SLO studios in Ljubljana, where a total of 8 acts, via two hotly-contested semi-finals, will compete for the chance to represent their country in the Eurovision Song Contest.

One of the longest-running selection shows still around, tonight’s show is hosted by Tina Gorenjak, Maja Martina Merljak, Tanja Kocman and Mario Galunic. Tonights draw will be as follows:

  1. Sell Out – “Ni panike”
  2. Nuška Drašček – “Flower in the Snow”
  3. Tim Kores – “Open Fire”
  4. Nika Zorjan – “Fse”
  5. King FOO – “Wild Ride”
  6. Omar Naber – “On My Way”
  7. BQL – “Heart Of Gold”
  8. Raiven – “Zažarim”

We will also be joined by some musical guests, who include last years winner of EMA, ManuElla, popular Croatian singer Toni Cetinski and last year’s Eurovision winner Jamala! We should be in for a treat!

Slovenia have never won ESC, their best result being 7th place from 1995 with the song “Prisluhni mi” performed by Darja Švajger, and most recently in 2001 with the song “Energy” performed by Nuša Derenda.
