The Eurovision 2020 Opening Ceremony to be held at the Rotterdam Cruise Terminal

The official Eurovision website has announced some further details regarding the events taking place during the Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam this May.

The Opening Ceremony will be Golden!

This will be held at the Cruise Terminal in Rotterdam on Sunday 10th May. The terminal itself is built on the Wilhelmina Pier and is a well facilitated building with a restaurant located inside its 3800m² venue.

This year there will be a Golden Carpet, with the carpet itself being made predominantly of recyclable materials. This will allow Rotterdam to show to the world that it’s a leading city in waste reduction. The event itself will once again be streamed live on the official Eurovision YouTube channel.

Of course an arrival place for international visitors to the city and in addition legendary events have been organised for years. We are going to make a spectacular opening that will honour our beautiful city.

This already adds to the lineup of events already arranged, including the Euroclub at Maassilo and the Eurovision Village at the Binnenrotte Market.
