Listen to the first hopefuls for the final of Ukrainian Junior Eurovision National selection!

Ukrainian broadcaster has confirmed their participation at the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Warsaw and they announced the way their national selection will be organised. We can reveal you first acts which are competing for the final 11 spots which will be decided from 26th to 27th of August.

From 5th of August they started to accept the applications which are opened until 25th of August. Participants can submit their applications at the UA: PBC website , if the application meets the requirements of the national selection regulations the participant’s video will be published on the website with the hashtag #uajec2020. And each participant can collect “likes” for their videos until 25th of August. So far they have revealed three participants some of which are familiar to the Ukrainian audience.

Karina Zayets is trying to reach one of the spots for the final with the song “Zhyva” (Alive). Karina was previously a contestant at the 4th season of The Voice Kids Ukraine where unfortunately she couldn’t pass the blind audition even though she performed a traditional Ukrainian song sung in both Ukrainian and Chinese language. The mentioned season was won by debuting artist for Kazakhstan at JESC 2018, Daneliya Tuleshova.

Mariya Danilova is trying her luck to win a ticket to the final with a song “Syayvo” (Shining)

The third revealed act is last year finalist of the national selection, Mariya Tkachuk who performed “Nytochky” but at the end lost to Sophia Ivanko. Now she is trying her luck with “Vstyhnemo vse!”

From 28th of August to 4th of September, the list of eleven finalist will be announced and the relevant agreements will be signed. Additionally, UA: PBC will provide a song for participants who have submitted previous versions to record. Original song players will also have the opportunity to record this song, if they choose so.

The final phase will commence from 5th to 7th of September when a jury and the users of social networks will decide the winner among the eleven participants.

It is expected that the winner of the next Ukrainian representative at Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be announced before 12th of September. What are your thoughts about the three revealed songs? Do you think they could reach the final? Let us know in the comments below!
