Less than a month ago Ukraine has chosen Olena Usenko as their representative at Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 through a national final. Today the official music video of her entry “Vazhil” has been premiered.
14 years old, Olena was born in Kyiv, but lives Bila Tserkva. She is part of Katapulta art music school. Olena’s been singing since the age of six in addition to that she plays guitar, ukulele and synthesizer. Her interests include dancing and acting. At the age of 13 she managed to act in several films and participated in vocal shows including the fifth season of The Voice Kids Ukraine but unfortunately hadn’t made past the blind auditions even though she sang the song of one the judges. Last year she was a finalist of Ukrainian selection for Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song “We Never Get Free”. You can watch the music video of her JESC 2021 entry “Vazhil” below
Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021 is going to take place on 19th of December at La Seine Musicale. The hosts of it are Élodie Gossuin, Olivier Minne and Carla while DJ duo Ofenbach and Barbara Pravi will be performing. The total of 19 countries compete:
