Kazakhstan has revealed their selection process for Junior Eurovision 2020!

Kazakh broadcaster Khabar TV has revealed the way their third participant at Junior Eurovision will be selected.

The submissions are going to open on 10th of August and last until 20th of August. The rules which need to be respected are: Performers should be aged 9-14 and maximum number of them allowed is 6. The song should be new and should not last more than 3 minutes. The lyrics of the song must be in the Kazakh language. English text can also be included (with maximum 40% of the lyrics). Kazakhstan will determine the winner of their selection solely by jury votes without televised selection process. The members of the jury are:

Bagym Mukhitendova – Music producer;
Khamit Shangaliyev – Music producer and composer;
Erlan Bekchurin – Sound producer of Dimash Kudaibergen;
Zhanar Dugalova – Winner of Turkvision 2014;
Amre – Winner of Slavianski Bazaar 2018;
Dinaya – II place of “New Wave” held in 2015;
ZaQ – Rapper and dancer, member of “Ninety One”;
Indira Edilbayeva – Superfinalist of “The Voice Ukraine” 2020

Last year, Yerzhan Maxim ended on the second place (first – according to the juries) performing “Armanynnan kalma” (Follow your dream).

The countries which have so far confirmed their participation are: BelarusKazakhstanPoland, France, GeorgiaMaltaThe NetherlandsRussiaSerbiaSpainUkraine and Germany who will be making their debut. While AustraliaWales, Ireland and North Macedonia announced their withdrawals from the show.
